Robin and Mole

The robin said to the mole
“Why do you live below?
There’s so much to see and do above,
I’m sure you could fly, you just need a shove.
Together we’ll sing and dance and love,
If only you’d come with me.”

The mole said to the robin
“That sounds scary to me.
It’s lovely and cosy and warm below,
We’ll cuddle all day and take it slow,
Safe when the wind decides to blow,
If only you’d stay with me.”

Mole and robin said together
“I don’t think this will work.”
So with sad looks upon their faces,
Both went back to their own spaces,
And found love in other places,
A couple never to be.
